Some people quickly settle into a new job and work environment. Others may find they need support to adjust. Once you begin work your personal employment consultant stays in regular contact to provide advice and support to maintain your employment.

Indigenous Job Seekers
At Direct Recruitment we offer specific strategies to assist Indigenous job seekers. These include access to our Indigenous Employment Officer who offers and provides each individual with support, access to designated Indigenous vacancies, employer advocacy and referral to Indigenous organisations for further community support.

Disability Employment Services
Living with an illness, injury or disability?
Direct Recruitment can assist you to find suitable and sustainable employment to help you build a better life / brighter future. We understand no two people are ever the same and are committed to delivering tailored and individualised employment solutions to meet your needs.
We focus on what you can do and build supports around you so you are ready to tackle your new job. We build relationships with a variety of employers across many industries. We advocate to employers so they understand you, your strengths and capabilities and why you would benefit their business. We also negotiate with employers to create suitable employment or just ask to give you an opportunity of work.
We also provide access to non-vocational support services. Whether it be counselling or work placement adjustments to cater for physical restrictions, we will work along side you to find a solution to help you gain and maintain employment.
In preparation for work, Direct Recruitment can help you with training and job preparation activities including:
- Job interview training and preparation
- Access to industry-specific training and experience
- Soft skills training ie workplace communication, planning and organisation skills, personal presentation, etc
Our support doesn’t end once you find a job. We understand there are factors in and outside the workplace that affect your work life balance. Through regular contact and engagement we are here to support you through those challenges as you adjust and adapt to your new position and work environment
At risk of losing your job as a result of the injury, illness or disability? Through our Work Assist program we can work in consultation with you and your current employer to maintain your employment.
The Disability Employment Service can be accessed from our offices located in Melbourne’s CBD, Richmond, Camberwell, Cheltenham, Oakleigh, Glen Waverley, Springvale, Dandenong, Narre Warren, Pakenham and Cranbourne.

ParentsNext may be the program for you. Your eligibility for the program is assessed by the Department of Human Services.
Being involved in ParentsNext gives you the confidence and skills that are suited for you and your family when the time is right. We offer a range of assistance to help you achieve your employment goals including:

- Increasing your confidence through developing skills to gain paid work
